The wait is over! At Makapueo Farms, the much-anticipated Kona coffee harvest season is officially underway. From the slopes of Mauna Loa to our sun-drenched drying patios, the next few months promise hard work, vibrant flavors, and plenty of excitement.
This season, we’re gearing up to handpick over a million pounds of ripe, red coffee cherries—each one destined to become the world-famous 100% Kona coffee you know and love. Harvest runs roughly from August through January, and it’s the most important time of year for our farmers and team.

Harvest season is when all the care we’ve put into nurturing the trees comes to life. Each cherry is carefully inspected and handpicked to ensure only the perfectly ripe fruit makes it into processing. This dedication guarantees the rich, smooth, and nuanced flavors that define premium Kona coffee.
From the orchard to the wet mill, drying patios, and finally your cup, every step during harvest shapes the quality and character of our coffee.
